From A Call to Greatness:

"I woke up this morning before dawn with what has now become a familiar feeling: an urgency to get up immediately, come to the computer and write a book for you. I know that I am to write a book for you that contains everything I have learned about spirituality since I began my journey in 1994. I am to sort through all of my explorations and experimentations and tell you only what I absolutely know to be true. And present it to you in a way that goes directly to the heart of the matter: what you can do to live a life of joy, love and peace. And, importantly, how you can open yourself to your own greatness."

Thus begins A Call to Greatness, The Exciting, Joyous Journey Your Soul Wants You to Take. (Click here to read the entire Introduction.) This book has been 15 years in the making, and many of you were a part of that exciting, wondrous and mystical process.

At the conclusion of the book, as I was writing out the steps that I believe will help you reach your greatness, the following came to me in an inspired rush, straight from spirit to each of you:

I woke up this morning before dawn with what has now become a familiar feeling: an urgency to get up immediately, come to the computer and write a book for you. It has come to me with such clarity and intensity that this is something I simply must do. A flow has built up inside me that wants to be made real, physical, tangible.

I know that I am to write a book for you that contains everything I have learned about spirituality since I began my journey in 1994. I am to sort through all of my explorations and experimentations and tell you only what I absolutely know to be true.

This means that I will set aside what I have merely read, yet never personally experienced. I will avoid the belief systems of religion and new age thinking, and speak only of what I know, without question, because I have seen it and felt it. And I will endeavor to present it to you in a way that cuts through all the theory and goes directly to the heart of the matter: what you can do to live a life of joy, love and peace. And, importantly, how you can open yourself to your own greatness.

For of those things I know with certainty, this is the most important and the most vital for you to understand and accept fully, deep within your heart: you have greatness within you. You, just you, exactly you, just as you are, with all that you have done and left undone, you are full of power and greatness.

This greatness within you has nothing to do with money or success as we define it in our society. It is largely irrelevant to the expression of your greatness how you make a living, whether you have a successful love relationship, whether you have children, whether you achieve financial security, and whether you are recognized and rewarded. You may well be very close to expressing your greatness and power right now, even though these other signs of success have eluded you.

You have a soul who has defined your life mission and has given you all of the power and talent you need to fulfill it. And this direction is at a very high level, like a personal North Star to follow, so that you may live your life in many different ways, yet still be heading in the direction your soul has laid out for you.

My goal in this book is to help you turn from distraction and toward your true direction, to step fully into the greatness and power that is within you. You may be surprised to find how simple it is to reach into your greatness and expand out from that and claim your vast power.

No matter how old you are, how much money or time you have to spare, if you have accomplished amazing things or apparently made mistake after mistake, if you have been a model of discipline or struggled constantly against yourself, the answer is the same: you have greatness within you, and this book is your call to find it and let it guide the rest of your life.

It is my wish that you may awaken each morning in love with life, facing the day with anticipation, enthusiasm and joy, ready to shine out with all that you truly are. Shine on!
