“Perfection is a state of mind, not an achievement”
Today, I would ask you to allow others to see you as you are. Today, I would ask you to let go of some of your drive for perfection, your drive to improve yourself, your drive to make your house and your life just so, absolutely perfect.
Everything is perfect. Even in its messy disarray, it is perfect, because everything is, right now, exactly as it should be. And if you have or have not achieved what you wished to achieve, it is still perfect. Everything, right now, is as it should be. So relax and accept it. Relax, take a deep breath and let it be. If you have not accomplished everything you planned, then do something different. Allow yourself the flexibility to change the way you do things, to let people see you in a homier, more natural state, the state in which you actually live, the way that you actually are.
No one asks of you that you be mistake-free, that you have no failings according to some standard you have aspired to. The only people alive who have achieved perfection are those who accept themselves as perfect in every moment, exactly as they are. Those who are striving to reach some bar will never reach it. For you are already there. You are already wonderful, glorious and yes, perfect.
And so, you see, perfection is a state of mind, not an achievement. Take a deep breath. Relax. Let it be. Ah, how perfect!
I Am This Today
I breathe in deeply and center myself in this moment, right here, right now. I am full of gratitude that I am as I am, that life is as it is. I know that all is as it should be, right now.
I allow myself to be myself, exactly as I am. I reach into my deepest core, find myself there, and bring this joyous, peaceful person that I am out for the world to see.
I am peace and joy. I am love and light. I am.
