“Spend some time doing nothing”
Today would be a wonderful day to rest and revive. If you are feeling fatigued, if the pressures are mounting and you cannot possibly imagine how you can get it all accomplished, this may be just the time when you need to do less, not more.
Sometimes, when you pull back from the pressures and schedules and demands, pull back if only for an hour or two, if not an entire day, you will gain a new perspective. If you allow yourself a bit of time to just be, away from the noise, to be quiet, just being or with a nice book that puts few demands upon you, you will then be able to take a deep breath and shift your priorities a bit. You will then be able to look at all that you have scheduled, all of the demands, and perhaps decide that some of them are not truly necessary at all.
Every day is precious. Every day is unique, a moment that will never come again. It is your goal and your challenge to remain deeply engaged in each moment as it passes, catching its glory and wonder, seeing what is around you, enjoying the smiles and touches, enjoying nature, being connected. If you are too much within your mind, too much within your tension and pushing, this day will elude you.
Spend some time today reconnecting. Spend some time doing nothing, so that you might then look at what lies before you with fresh eyes, and perhaps grant yourself even additional peace.
I Am This Today
Today, I am deeply connected to each moment as it passes. I feel its wonder. I revel in its uniqueness. I feel myself within it and deeply a part of it.
Today, I give myself the gift of peace, of time alone, of time enjoyed.
I am connected. I am peaceful. I am.
